Getting your music heard!

No one is in for a good time alone.

Whether we like to hear it or not, we musicians, regardless of the genre we play, are into creating fans. Now we may call it followers, supporters, or simply friends. But, one of the most important things we often forget is that before they were fans, they simply heard our music. So, getting closer to success is simply about making sense of our artistic product and letting it go into peoples' ears.

Before we can do anything artistically speaking we need to let go of our most precious art form in exchange for a pair of receptive ears that will hopefully keep listening.

So how to promote your music?  Go where the people are listening!  Where is that?  "YOUTUBE"

YouTube is the most extensively used social platform for the discovery and promotion of new music.  If all of the other social media platforms are combined, YouTube will still beat them all "combined" according to expert research.

So having a YouTube Channel is in any artist's best interest, even if your song is uploaded with its lyrics on the screen and no real music video.  As a matter of fact, there are many artists that are premiering their material on YouTube with lyrics only.  Nothing wrong with that.  Any YouTube channel with your own original music on it is way better that your music sitting on an email that never got answered from an indie or major record company!!!
