Guitar strings.

One of the easiest options to get the most versatility out of your guitar strings is to use a hybrid approach.  Thankfully, you may not need to buy a couple of packs.  Ernie Ball has a pack that mixes up the following gages:

9 - 11 - 16 - 26 - 36 - 46

Strings 1 and 2 offer the easiest bending ability.  And the power strings offer the most bass when playing full chords or power chords.

Keep in mind that the steps to changing strings do not stop after you have changed and tuned them.

YOU MUST STRETCH the strings at least 5 to 7 times or more in order get the most stable playing later.

How to stretch?  The process is simple…you tune, stretch*, tune, stretch, tune, stretch, etc.

*Stretch by applying force on the 4th fret with the left hand in the string you are stretching and stretch with the right hand about 2 inches from the guitar level by forcing it upward.

Keep playing!!!
