Guitar theory workout!

Good exercise to master fretboard theory...

Knowing your intervals from one string to the next one under makes a good shortcut when incorporating your scale formulas on the guitar.

Here are those intervals from 6 string to the 1st one once you have reached one finger per fret.
So from 4th finger on the prior sting to 1st finger on following string these are:

M2
M2
M2
m2
M2

M2: are equal to one whole step.

m2: is equal to half a step.

These take care of the spaces between the strings. That's why only 5 intervals are provided.  The rest of the work is in the lineal format as usual. Skip one fret and you travel one whole step or M2 and travel from one step to another one and you just played a m2 interval.

This philosophy is usual when reading a scale formula as the major scale for example. The formula for the major scale is M2 M2 m2 M2 M2 M2 m2

Have fun!!!
